My thoughts about why I went, the places I have been, and the places I will go back to
What Inspired Me to Travel
Since I was a young girl, I can remember Sunday afternoons spent looking at old slide’s of my parents trip to Europe. They spent 6 weeks, sold everything they had, quit their jobs, and it became an important foundation not only in their lives, but in their marriage as well. I can almost recite verbatim the stories they tell about Augsburg, Venice, and Florence. I remember the descriptions of the train rides and the terrible anchovy pizza. Never did I ever think I would have the same accidental anchovy pizza experience that my dad encountered. But I did. And now I am hungry, not for an anchovy pizza, but I am hungry to see more of the world
Places I Have Been
In May, 2014, I had the opportunity to spend a month traveling Europe. Not only was it living a dream, this trip enriched my life and changed me in ways I never thought possible. It was worth every early morning for extra hours at work, it was worth being patient and waiting for the right deals on flights. It was worth every penny I spent to live a dream and experience what it was like to have real European gelato. It was worth it. Here are some of the places I have been and an explanation of why its worth going
- Prague
- Cesky Krumlov
- Salzburg
- Hallstatt & Gosau
- Vienna
- Budapest
- Paris
- Moneglia
- Rome
- Venice
- Milan
What's Next
There will never come a time when the world runs out of places I want to see. However, for the sake of planning, it is good to set places in order of what you would like to see next. This helps prioritize your travel experiences. Why spend all the money going to Norway, when in the long run you would rather see Paris instead? I have spent some time making a list of the top five places that I want to see next, here are the links:
